PEÑÍSCOLA.

It's a municipaly in the Valencian Community, located on the north coast of the province of Castellón.
It has the title of city since 1707.
Since January 2013, Peniscola is part of the most beautiful villages of Spain.

The town of Peniscola has walls that Felipe II commissioned architect Giovanni Battista Antoneli Italian military, being built between 1576 and 1578.

THE THREE INPUTS.

The ''portal fosc'' was first main entrance of s.XVII. On the door of ''portal fosc'' can stiil see one shield of Felipe II. 

Visting Peñiscola means you go back in time, and feel you are in antiquity.

The second door is Sant Pere , ordered built by Pope Moon in the fifteenth century , which gave the city a new access by sea , . The site consists of a large masonry arch on which is central voussoir Papa Luna shield sculpted by Filibert Bertalla .

The third gate to the city , is the door of Santa Maria, built in 1754 , by order of Fernando VI , to improve access to the city. Inside we find the Plaza of " Les Escaseres ", surrounded by walls which gives that intimate aspect in which to sit and breathe that peace which is able to Peniscola . Next to it stands the Chapel of Santa Ana , dating from 1827 , which is of great historical interest.
